Rechtsanwältin (attorney)
Sylvia Braun LL.M.
Qualified lawyer, specialist lawyer for intellectual property law, born in 1970, Sylvia Braun studied law at the university of Passau. She spent part of her legal traineeship in Pittsburgh in a US law firm specialised in business law. Admitted tot he Bar in 1998, she has been working in Munich as qualified lawyer ever since. Braun started out in the department for corporate law and M&A in an international law firm before working for a Munich based law firm specialised in representing pharmaceutical companies in matters of pharmaceuticals and unfair competition law for 15 years. In that time, she specialised on nationwide representation of pharmaceutical companies in lawsuits regarding medical product advertising and unfair competition law, advice to pharmaceutical companies on compliance (anti-corruption, pharmaceutical law including advertising, codices), e.g. risk analysis, developping SOPs, employee training, and advice on clinical studies, e.g. drafting and negotiation of contracts, securisation/ distribution of rights on study results, compliance with legal requirements and using study results in advertising.
In 2013/2014, she completed the master’s course at Heinrich-Heine University in Düsseldorf in intellectual property law with a focus on trademark law, patent law and unfair competition procedure law, obtaining an LL.M. degree.
She joined Meisterernst Rechtsanwälte in 2014.
